Under the Hood of the CX-50
We do not have all the figures yet but from all that we know, the CX-50 might resemble the CX-5 in more ways than one. The CX-50 is said to feature two powertrains—a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a turbocharged engine. These are similar to the CX-5’s engines which means we can expect the CX-50 to produce 187 horsepower and a torque of 186 lb.-ft. The turbocharged engine might make 227 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque.
What’s On the Inside?
The new CX-50’s interior takes after the CX-30. It has its steering wheel, center console buttons, and other controls designed in a similar fashion as the CX-30 which means you get a clean dash that makes it easy to log in miles. You can also expect the CX-50 to have a more spacious cabin than the CX-30, and can, therefore, stretch out on those long journeys.
